feedy — flexible parts feeding system by PARO AG

The product

feedy is a flexible parts feeding system — and replaces the conventional vibratory bowl feeder in many applications.

feedy is the answer to a very old question in mechanical engineering: how do you feed small parts reliably, quickly and — above all — flexibly, even when tomorrow's product is a different one?

Vibratory bowl feeders have been the standard tool for decades, but they have one weakness: they are designed for one specific part. When the product changes, you need a new feeder or a costly rebuild. With small batch sizes or frequent product changes, that often no longer makes commercial sense.

feedy works differently: using camera-assisted vibration and recognition technology, a wide range of parts can be fed on the same device. Switching between products takes minutes instead of days. That is exactly what makes feedy so attractive for customers with a high variety of variants or small quantities.

What feedy stands for

Three strengths that make the difference in practice.

Flexibility

Product changeovers in minutes instead of days. A single device handles many different part geometries — ideal for a variety of variants and small batch sizes.

Compact footprint

feedy needs considerably less floor space than conventional feeding systems — so it also fits into existing systems where there would be no room for a large vibratory bowl feeder.

Broad range of use

From small parts in assembly through pharmaceuticals and medical technology to cosmetic packaging components — wherever parts have to be singulated and handed over in a defined orientation.

Typical applications

Where feedy plays to its strengths.

High variety of variants

When one device handles many parts.

In assembly with small batch sizes and frequent product changes, feedy pays off fastest — no retooling, no new feeder per variant.

Tight installation space

When there's no room for conventional feeders.

In system upgrades or compact cells where a large vibratory bowl feeder won't fit, feedy is often the only sensible solution.

Sensitive parts

When gentle handling and cleanliness matter.

Medical technology, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals — industries where parts must be handled gently and contamination has to be avoided.
